Rappelling

Tour 3-4 hours
Day trips from Santa Marta available

We start in Minca and walk approximately 40 minutes through the trees, immersed in nature, to arrive at this beautiful waterfall. You can swim, relax, admire the flora/fauna, and be on the look out for blue morpho butterflies. You'll receive training, you can climb the rock cliffside (if you would like) and you'll make two descents down the waterfall under the canopy of lush trees and plants. Prepare to by hypnotized by the beauty of the place and the adrenaline from this adventure.

Recommendations: Tennis shoes or comfortable shoes for walking, bathing suit or quick dry clothing, bug repellent, a water bottle, and any snacks of your preference.

Cerro Kennedy Overnight

1 - 3 Day Tours
Trekking or Transportation Available

Highlights: Day 2 - We’re out of bed before the sun rises. An (aprx. 1 hour) walk leads us to the summit of Cerro Kennedy as the rays of sun begin to paint the valleys below. In one direction, we can see the warm Caribbean ocean waters lined with palms and forest. In the other direction, we can witness the stunning snow capped summits of Mt. Colon and Mt. Bolivar, the tallest mountains in Colombia, which both rise to roughly 5,700 meters above sea level and stand just 42 kilometers from the ocean.

During the tour, we'll pass through a richly biodiverse region of the mountain that stretches from roughly 1,300 meters in elevation to 3,000 meters. Here exists a grand variety of birds, mammals, and amphibians, and it is the center of the El Dorado Bird Reserve which is dedicated to protecting a high number of endemic species of flora and fauna at these elevations which are threatened with extinction.
